Here's a beautiful Evans Mayfair silver mesh and black enamel compact purse in wonderful condition from the 1930's.

The black enamel has no damage.  It's still very nice and shiny, and has no chips, scratches or scuffing.  The silver mesh is slightly dull, and could use a light polish, but it has no rust or corrosion, and no missing pieces, but it does have a few areas where the mesh has separated at the top folds; it does not effect the use of the purse.  The interior lining is clean, and the powder compartments and metal mirrors are clear and clean.  It still has the original Mayfair hallmarked rouge and rouge powder puff.  The purse has the Evans hallmark on the rim near the clasp.

A great piece for the collector or for use for special occasions.
