There is something quite regal about this sumptuous 5 stone ruby ring. Made in the mid/late Victorian period, around 1870-1880 in England.

Set with 5 beautifully matched rubies which have been certified by the Gem and Pearl laboratory as having no evidence of heat treatment. 

The central ruby measures 5.7 x 5.1 x 2.2mm and has an estimated weight of .56ct.  It is flanked on either side by two rubies weighing approximately .52ct each and a further two, weighing .30ct each.

The intricately carved handmade setting is notable for its elegant scroll work. The shank is marked 18ct and tests as 18k gold.
